Dipping Powder

Dip powder nails are a manicure method that combines pigmented powder with specialized bases and sealers to create flawless smooth application and durable manicures. Dip nails are lightweight and flexible like gel nails but durable like acrylics.

A regular manicure involves trimming, shaping, filing, and buffing your nails, along with refreshing your cuticles and regular polish at the end.

Nail Design

Nails designs anywhere from basic polka dots to swirls or something more intricate and detailed.

Acrylic

Acrylics are a combination of a liquid monomer and a powder polymer that form a paste which is bonded to the natural nail. It’s then given the desired shape, where it hardens in place to add strength, length, and thickness to the nail.

Gel

Gel manicures look just like your regular old mani, the added benefits are that they last longer, are super shiny, and feel sturdier. Require UV light to dry the layers in between.

Ombre

Ombre can be done with either dip, acrylic, or gel. Ombre is created by taking 2 colors and blending the 2 colors to make a flawless gradient.

Apres Gel X

Gel-X is a soft gel nail extension. It is better for your nails compared to acrylic, which gives you the strength of gel with length of acrylic while also being lightweight. It’s easier to take off like you would with gel and must be taken off every time with no option for fills.

Frequently Asked Questions

Dip powder is colored powder and gel is liquid color. Dip powder contains a small amount of vitamins within the powder that help with the process of strengthening the nails when done correctly. In comparison to gel; polish dip is much thicker since it is a powder. Dip powder in a lot of ways is more similar to acrylic powder except for the fact that with dip you have to soak off every time. Gel polish is liquid colored polish that is painted on and put in a UV/LED lamp to cure it. Both dip and gel have many benefits and it all depends on what works best for your nails.

Acrylics shouldn’t ruin nails. But, a poor application and removal process of nail acrylics – or any type of nail enhancement- can seriously damage nails. When properly applied by a trained technician, with the right aftercare advice and regular upkeep, acrylics nails shouldn’t cause any serious damage.

The pain or burning you feel when putting your hand in the UV light is called heat spike this is the gel curing which is basically shrinking while it hardens on the natural nail.

I recommend applying cuticle oil twice a day. Cuticle oil can help increase the circulation around your nails to stimulate nail growth. It can also help to protect your nail and cuticle from trauma. After your manicure I recommend applying cuticle oil; it makes your manicure last longer, prevents your nail from becoming dry underneath, and prevents your nails from lifting. Since the cuticle oil is moisturizing your nails, your nails don’t become so dry that they curl and lift.
